Default Portable air

Anyone use something more like this?

Instead of those high dollar tanks like these:

CO2 and running compressed air is totally two different systems. If you use the coleman air tank you'll need some sort of on board compressor.

I know it's different. If I had an onboard compressor, I wouldn't even need an air tank. :P
You fill it up with your home compressor and put it in your trunk.
Or there are those compressors that plug into your battery and then I wouldn't need a tank... but it would probably take an hour to fill 33s from 15psi to 35psi with that. :P

Not necessarily true, it depends on what you're looking to do, just air tires?? no you wouldn't need a tank. To run tools or lockers you'll want a tank.

The colman tank doesn't have enough volume to air up tires, I don't even know if it would do one honestly.

This is you cheapest option untill you can upgrade, there are decent ones out there that could do it in a reasonable amount of time. Look into the ARB or viair pumps. Or convert an AC pump to compress air.

I had a roughly 2.5 gallon tank at 120PSI and it only filled a single 33x12.5 from 19PSI-24PSI....and it took nearly two minutes. I used the same tank and converted my AC compressor to air and now have 150PSI onboard air. If you're not interested in having a compressor onboard your only practical solution is CO2. The amount of volume that can be packed into such a little thing is amazing when it's being held at 3000ish PSI. Even then, you have to make sure the thing is anchored securely and valve is out of the way of danger. A bottle of CO2 can easily become an air propelled missile lol. A regular 120/150PSI tank of air...not so much.

Just air tires is all

That's kind of what I figured.

I'll look into those compressors. Any link to the AC pump mod?
