Is your '98 an automatic transmission ? If so, will you take into consideration the A.T. fluid lines which run to and from the radiator loop which cools to fluid ?

Have you considered hood loovers! Run Cool makes them and I've seen many other home made ones also. maybe house vents would work.

I put 1" spacers and longer bolts in my hood hinges to raise the rear of the hood to let heat out.
Dude! I just put some Run Cool louvers on my rig saturday. They look sweet but are kind of pricey. Also, The RunCool office is 2 minutes from my house, of all places. Good quality product and my hood is considerably cooler to the touch.

On another note, I just installed the FFD Extreme Triple Threat fan kit, and my temps are running just about the same as the clutch fan/aux electric setup. I've only been running the FFD setup for 2 days, though.
