Stumbled across a pic/post in a thread today, but wasn't smart enough to bookmark it at the time. Hopefully someone can help!

Member posted a pic of their black XJ with Clear marker/turn signal lenses in the front, but the interior housing of the lights were blacked out, and amber bulbs were used instead, giving them the appearance of being blacked out during the day, but still allowing for full light at night without having VHT'd the factory lenses.

I believe that the poster said Ebay was the source of the lights, but after countless searches, all I could come up with were clear lenses with shiny (chrome) housings.

Anyone have a lead on what I'm looking for?

EBAY, Look for smoked lenses.

 

This is not the one you saw, but i painted the inside of my turn signals black when i had them cut apart for my L.E.D. conversion.

 

Yes probably not the one he saw, this is my Xj as an example and those there I got off eBay recently. They are the "Smoked" turn signal lenses and I purchased the whole set of 4 for around $51.00 included S&H

 

I didn't mean yours, i meant that mine weren't the ones he saw. Just to give him other ideas if he didn't find the ones he's looking for. Sorry for the confusion.

 

Those look about like the ones I saw in the pic, and searching for "Smoked" was the ticket I was looking for. Must have tried a dozen different forms of "Black / Blacked Out".

Just watching my bid on tailights now, the smoked lenses are the next thing on the way. Thanks for the help!

I dig the orange side markers! I'd actually like to get orange turn signal lens..the ones under the grill.

I'd like orange ones under the grill & red side markers, to match my waggy tails!
