NSG370 swap
i know there is an older thread about this but one thing that seems to be common is that it never gets finished. i have an 88 xj that had the pugeot now i put in a nsg370 and i am trying to wire the 2 lead connector to the 3 lead cps connector and need help finishing it because i can't get it to start. if some one has a diagram for the wiring it would be much appreciated.
used the original flywheel but the original cps is on the other side of the bell housing and mounts different. I've read people say just take two wires from new but where they go and what about the third is where all other forums and threads stop.
went with the nsg370 because it has a granny gear and closer ratio for even street driving which i do a lot of because i drive it to where I'm going. but mainly was talked into it when i heard 6spd, knowing now i should've just put in the ax15 which would've been a slam dunk. but the 4.46-1 1st gear really sold it. but with the older renix system you have to use the stock sensor if you are 91 and up you already use the proper sensor type so it isn't such a big ordeal i believe.

relocated cps to stock 88 position with stock 2 wire sensor now to re install and see what happens. but first making a t case shifter bracket and patching some holes.
so if any one cares for an 88 or the renix system a nsg370 is not a straight swap. the sensor needs to be in the factory position with the original 2 wire sensor. 91 and up it might work by putting the sensor in the position provided with the nsg370 seeing how they use the same type of sensor which uses a square wave for detecting its position. if any one cares on what i did to make it fit and run i will most definitely share since most of the right ups asking for details with the renix stop before answering the question.
