Uuuum yeah, i speak from personal experience when i say: do not run with no shocks. You can do what you want, but when i installed my lift i broke the shock bolts on the rear (typical) so when i was preparing to fix them (bout a week) i had no shocks...definitely bouncy, not fun at all though. I couldn't imagine what it would have been like if i was lifted higher...maybe i can: worse!

Back when I was into Baja Bugs, When I first got it I drove it with no shocks in the front and it was terrifying, I got up to a certain speed and then all of a sudden I could not control the steering, I got it to stop, made a U turn and drove it back home at like 5 miles an hour. In a bug its even more dangerous due to the nature of the front leaf springs/pack.
Do not drive with no shocks.
