Default No customer satisfaction with Cooper tires

Trying to get 2 Cooper Evolutions replaced, 2 1/2 years old, 3,000 miles on them. Been rotated & Jeep aligned, premature wear. Called Cooper, got a file number, they sent me to a Goodyear dealer who told me the tires are back-ordered with no release date, no comparable tire available. Called back Cooper, no help. Been using Coopers for years, no problem. Retired from selling Jeep parts at Mopar dealers since Chrysler bought AMC.

I think it's very sad that American customer service that used to be the envy of the world now seems just as bad as everyone else's. Welcome to the real world!

Back around 2005 I bought a van with new Cooper snows. Tread peeled off them in just over 10k miles. I stayed away from Cooper for a long time.

Back during the winter of 2019/2020 I needed tires for the Jeep, and Walmart had these Cooper Discoverer A/T raised white letter tires for the same price as Wrangler Radials, $70 something a tire. Couldn’t pass it up, but I take all my tires in on loose wheels so they can’t touch my vehicle. The tires have been excellent and I’m using them still.

Guess I got lucky. Too bad to hear about the poor tires/service.

I take in loose wheels also. Vehicle stays home. Less bs that way. 👍

Yep, same here. It also helps because they don't need to tie up a bay to do the mounting and balancing, so they can sneak you in late in the day or sometimes cut you a deal.

Our tire shops always seem confused by loose wheels, perhaps 'cos they're not used to it, but seem to be confused by not knowing if it's front or rear

A word of caution though, if your getting directional tyres, make sure they're put on the right way round for the fitment you have in mind.

I paint Mark the wheels for position, then mark the new tyres for inside/outside orientation. Less responsibility left to the "mechanic "

I had the Cooper A/T's on an old Tacoma many years back and I really liked them. Fast-forward 15 years and I buy a set for my 2500 Cummins. 10-ply heavy duty stuff. My truck felt like it was driving on golf *****. Had a lot of side to side sway and I could feel all of it. Garbage 10-ply. I returned them within a week due to "safety concerns" and got some goodyears for $26 more, total. No Coopers for the last 6-8 years on any of my vehicles I've owned.

I've never been a fan of any tires having to do with goodyear.
