Default need some advice and sugestions

Hello. i have posted on here before with great results. i want to say thank you for all the help. but unfortunately i am back again asking for help. i recently installed a 3in rough country lift on to my 2000 jeep cherokee 4x4. all was well for a few days, then i started hearing a clicking noise, like metal on metal, coming from what sounds like the drive shaft. i, so far have changed the u joints, and done a t-case drop. still have the noise. my trans mount is bad, and should be getting the new one in in a few days. only problem is that i doubt that is the problem. and other suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Try to get a video of the noise happening if you can. It will make it a lot easier to troubleshoot. Otherwise your gonna have a million different suggestions to look into.

Can you pinpoint the general location of the noise? Front, middle or rear of the Jeep? That would be a start.

Did you change out the trackbar and or control arms on the lift?

I am unable to hear it when I take a video. It sounds like it is coming from the center of the vehicle right by the drive shaft. I have not changed the control arm or links, but I have put new bushings on to them.

"Usually" with a 3" lift an SYE isn't required and I see you did a T/C Drop kit, that should have you covered on that part. Change out the mounts and see if that takes care of the problem.

If the trans mount and motor mounts are bad the exhaust could be rubbing on something it shouldn't be.Crawl under the jeep and look everywhere for clean spots.

Do you have the means to put the rear axle up on jack stands, put it in gear, and you or someone else slide under it to isolate the noise?
