Need some advice
Hello to all jeep driver. I am new to this website and need some advice. I have a 95 cherokee that I bought from a kid for $800 and it was a mess. I have put almost $2500 into it with about a $1000 in lift from Rough Country. I have a 6.5 coil system on front with adjustable trac bar, 6" shocks, adjustable control arms. I just ordered some sway bar links and just recently put on the control arm drop kit. The rear has the 4.5 leaf spring packs with 6" shocks. I want to put the 1 3/4" spacers on front but wondering if it would be more of a hassle. I havnt installed the 2" shackles but will if I put on spacers. I plan on putting 33's on it next month. Please help with advice

So you haven't driven it yet? Most likely you have driveline vibrations. An SYE gets rid of these vibrations.
An SYE is a Slip Yoke Eliminator, and it eliminates the slip yoke. The slip yoke is a piece on the output shaft of the transfer case that allows for some give or "slip" when your rear axle moves up and down over bumps. After a lift the slip yoke can cause vibrations in your driveline which will eat up your u joints.
A slip yoke eliminator gets rid of the slip yoke buy replacing the transfer case output shaft with new shorter one with a fixed yoke. This also requires a new drive shaft that compresses and extends to allow for "slip" when you go over bumps.
I hope I didn't confuse you

I just bought this jeep last year when i got out of army. Im new to the 4 wheel drive world. I started with a budget lift, the spacers, add a leaf and new shocks. I wanted bigger so i went to a 3" coil which leveled it out. Now i wanted bigger so I got all the components for the 6.5" lift. I still kept the spacers and realize that I will have to cut the tailpipe to fit the shackles. I have had little vibration I see when mirror vibrates. The front end was a little rough so thats why i put the control arm dropkit in yesterday. The alignment is a lil off but not death wobble when i installed the 6.5 coils and control arms. of course it went away when i got it aligned. i have the sway bar drop bracket in but its now causing stress on the links so i ordered the sway bar link kit. Are those SYE kits pretty cheap or is it gonna be another $1000. Im itching to put the spacers and shackles on tomorrow before i get alignment. Would it be wise to wait to install them or is it ok to ride with them without the SYE for another month? I havnt been offroad yet just daily driving about 15 miles a day.

You can get a sye from dirtbound for $100 and then get a front cherokee driveshaft from a junkyard or ebay for $100 so your looking at $200 for the cheapest option.

Well it depends... Does it vibrate violently when you drive it? Is the slip yoke pulled out of the transfer case really far? You will probably be ok for a couple weeks or whatever though.

no violent vibrations. slight vibration when i first installed the 6.5 coil system in front but now that the suspension has settled, as they say, it has lost a little height and thats why i wanted to take out the isolator and install the spacers. the sye is for the front driveshaft or rear?

Rear. But you can use a front driveshaft from another Cherokee (junk yard) as your rear drive shaft with your sye. Or you could get like a Tom Woods rear drive shaft but they're expensive.
