Brake Booster upgrade question..
So I purchased this kit from overlander XJ- https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f11/bo...c-setup-92853/ He was great to do business with however I am thinking maybe I should have done my homework a bit better before I purchased it.. I am having a friend fab up my 8.8 rear axle and he said that he doesn't think the brake booster will fit in my 88 XJ. Is there any reason it wouldn't? He thinks there is not enough space for it, that it will hit the fender.. I know overlander had this in his 94, so i figured it would bolt right in my 88.. Are there differences? I tried to look at the info on madxj but the site is down..

dude no worries its a little tight but it fits just fine i just put one in my 89 and it works awesome the only things i had to do was ream out the hole in the booster rod that goes to the brake pedal so the brake light switch would fit through and grind a flat spot at the end so the hole would line up you'll see what i mean when you swap and the break lines are a pain to bend in the right spot but it does fit also you either have to move your washer fluid bottle or like im going to heat up the corner with a heat gun and push it in till it will fit around the new bigger booster but best of all heres photo evidence that it fits

I know you have all ready done this, but what I did on my 87 xj was I used a 78 grand marquis master cylinder (1.25 bore) and I can now lock up my brakes on 36's. This is with using 3/4 ton chevy calipers as well.
The worst part of the swap was having to make new master-prop valve lines. the only reason why i did that.. I didnt like the way the stock lines looked going to it, so I bent and reflared some lines to make it look cleaner.
