Default Need help with transmission...

Alright guys, I need help deciding what tranny to put into my jeep. It's a 98 with the 4.0 bored out with a stroker kit turning it into a 4.6. The thing is I wanted to use the nsg 370 out of a Tj but I don't know if that will hold up to the power my Xj will get. I have the AW4. (I think. It's the auto) I was wanting to put a stick in it, and I want something pretty simple to mount up. I also want it to be a 6 speed. I'm all ears guys.

The AW4 will hold up perfectly well. Probably the best auto trans ever built on the planet. They're used in 5 ton dump trucks in Japan along with Celica Supra turbos. The strokers don't make so much power that any transmission that's behind a 4.0 won't hold up, except for the Peugeot trans from 87 and 88.

Cool, thanks. But will the nsg 370 hold up to it?

Forgot where I read it, but I saw something that said the Nsg 370 is only rated up to like 272 ft lbs of tq

Karl 4X4 has a stroker in front of one. The stroker isn't a fire breathing monster.......
