Default need help asap!?!!?

I have an 01 jeep xj I'm lifting it 6.5" and I'm installing an sye kit from rough country. Now I need a rear ds can I use an stock front drive shaft out of the same year an model and it hook straight up or do I need some kind of adaptor's? If so what?! I need help asap and I thank you greatly in advance for the help!!!

Yes the front driveshaft will bolt up without any additional pieces. At 6.5" lift though, it may be too short. It will probably work for driving around, but I wouldn't be flexing it out too much without measuring and checking how far the splines are engaged at ride height.

With that said you might look for a front shaft out of a ZJ. I believe they are a bit longer.

I've been running a stock front shaft in the rear on 6" of lift for a couple months now. It's been fine as a temporary shaft to get me through the winter but I don't want to wheel with it.

Just measure yoke to yoke after doing the SYE. I am at 6.5" and wouldn't run the stock one. It seems like even if it "works," You would not have very much holding it together and if you torque on it, It will likely break at some point. There should be a shop local to you who could make a bigger/stronger one for you for pretty cheap. I run Tom Woods shafts and Ive never had to worry about them. Piece of mind is worth something IMO

I paid $199+ shipping for my Custom made shaft with the larger Spicer joints from a shop on eBay his Co. name is in my sig. nice job and quick delivery less than a week.

My searchfu on ebay is terrible. Can't find Dave's Custom Driveshaft's anywhere

Leave out the custom and try Cherokee or XJ can't remember how I came up with his name there,
