My experiment regarding hood vents.

Interesting! Given all the electronics that live on the firewall, I can't help but be concerned by unsealing the rear of the hood for cooling purposes. There are better ways to do it.

The OEM setup has the ECU controlling the E fan? I assume it is via a relay?
If you add a manual control for the E fan I would assume you disconnect the ECU from controlling it,, as "backfeeding" the ECU with 12v would probably fry it ?
Asking because I may end up doing something to "extend" the E fan run time.

The added relay is after the factory relay output. You can adjust the fan on temp and settings with the mpvi2. Pricey unless you know someone with a module. Still costs 50 bucks to unlock the ecu, but then you can put a hot tune on it. Gettin tangential.
