motor and water..?

gonna wash the jeep today and i really need to hose the motor cause theres a bunch of dirt and muck. so before i go spraying away, is there anywhere that i need to be careful about spraying with water?

Spray it while running. Avoid the cold air intake if you have one. Try to avoid any areas where there is a lot of electrical connectors or cover them with a plastic bag. Other then that you should be good!
Cover you distributor with a plastic bag... Just be careful of all the connectors like the OP said. If it runs funny after you spray it off, it probably just condensation in the dizzy and youll just need to drive it until it quits.

I just start mine up, avoid the intake and spray away.
Go pick up some B-52 from the parts store before you start. Get the engine warm, spray it on then hose it off.
It makes for a new looking engine bay.
