Default Mix and Match lift, your thoughts?

I've started to put together a list for a mix and match lift and wanted some of your thoughts on it. I'm shooting for right around 3" or so with 31x10.50 as this will be the wife's DD and for out of town trips so a stiff ride is not an option. I'm going to be shopping around for awhile for the parts to help with the cost since the Jeep is going to be totally stripped down. I want to do this right and once as it will not be going any higher later. Let me know if I've over looked something or maybe better options. Going to do the ZJ tie rod, and I know I’ll need brake lines and want to put in an SYE also.
There's a lot more I want to do but right now I'm just building my list for the lift
The total cost if I got it all from these links was a little higher than I was expecting.

Looks like a well thought out lift, except for the control arms. You really don't need all that for a 3" lift. If you ~just~ have to have them, I'd recommend fixed uppers and adjustable lowers, but honestly when I was thinking about a 3" lift I was going to run stock uppers and fixed lowers.

Also, I'd get IRO or RE arms, WAAAAAAAY cheaper.

You put "for rear also" under lower control arms. I thought you were talking about an XJ?

thanks I'll look at those as well, on that note I'm assuming I'd be fine going with the control arms with the rubber bushings? Would I loose anything by doing that? I should have mentioned this will not be wheeled "hard" just rough dirt roads/2 tracks and these ****** Michigan winters

I'm about to put on 2.75in OME leafs (CS033RB) and 3" Rustys coils with OME shocks. From what I've heard, Bilsteins are a firmer ride and the OMEs are softer. Hope this helps a little, let us know how it works out!

I'd recommend the rubber bushings. They're cheaper and you won't have to worry about servicing them like the flex joints. They also ride better, and with short arms you're not going to give up anything really flex wise. the links will bind before the bushings.

That's a good point. With the soft springs you're running the OME shocks would be better match. I have Rusty's coils and OME leafs with OME shocks, rides great. The OME shocks are a little more expensive than the Bilstiens, but with the money you save on control arms I suggested you can spend it on the OME shocks and still have some left over for a beer.

ok I just looked at the IRO the sets they offer are:

fixed upper/fixed lower $250

Adjustable upper/Fixed lower $270

Adjustable up/adjustable low $320

But if I do fixed upper/adjustable lower it's $310, I may just have to call them when I'm ready to order.

Can't seem to find fixed uppers from RE maybe I'm failing at google Leaning toward IRO at the moment. Do they only sell direct or are there other sources I may be able to find them cheaper? Still looking for the OME shocks

I was thinking the same thing , I have a feeling this guy does research properly !

Your list of parts looks good. Definitely go fully adjustable on the arms so you can fine tune your caster and alignment.

I'll say a little of both hahaha I have read your posts and 2 of your build threads. But I've been wanting to get the 2000 torn down and back up for over a year so I've had LOTS of time to read. Though I have over looked some things. I see allot of people going for the OME rears and after my "tuner" faze I know never to skimp on shocks. Add that to working on the 98 I just got that is Rusty's front to back and yea I'll pay a bit more to get it right. That thing is getting clayton long arms come taxes next year (shh don't tell my wife)

I think Rustys coils are 150lb/in which is a little over stock but much softer than RC or RE. Since I'm kind of in the same situation as you I did a bunch of research on similar items. Also, don't restrict yourself to just what Quadratec has, 4x4 groupbuy and jeepinoutfitters have a better selection of OME products. I'm installing my lift in a little over a week when I get out of school and have elected to wait on ordering shocks until I get it sitting at ride height and can figure out bumpstops, that way if I'll know exactly what size shocks to get. Heres what I got from OME when I called:

Front:
60052 13.54"-22.2"
60052L 15.4"-26.7"
Rear:
60053 13.3"-22"
60053L 14.4"-24.5"
