Ok I think I have my final shopping list for the 2000's lift. Gonna keep shopping around and jump on stuff if/when it is cheaper. Let me know if you have anything I should add. Should I get a drop pitman arm? I'll probably source the brake lines from the JY or a cheap alternative to the braided ones. Please let me know if there are any cheaper sources for parts or if I picked something that won't work.

XJ Old Man Emu Nitrocharger Sport Shock Kit (0-3") $380
IRO Bar Pin Eliminator (Front) $30
IRO adjustable Upper and Lower Arms $320
IRO Adjustable Budget Boost Shackle $70
IRO XJ/ZJ Adjustable Double Shear Track Bar Kit $190
IRO XJ U-Bolt Kit for Crysler 8.25 Axle $25
Old Man Emu XJ 2.25 Leaf Spring, Medium Load $234
Main Eye Leaf Spring Bushings $18
Shackle End Leaf Spring Bushings $14
Rusty's Coils - XJ 3” $100
Rusty's Frame Strengthener $60
Rubicon Express Replacement Stabilizer $35
XJ STM Shock Relocators (rear 1.5") $45

Looks like roughly $1500 w/o shipping or tax hopefully if I take my time it will come out cheaper.

The rest of the build list is allot longer I'll start a build thread once I start getting parts this is just the lift list

Thanks all

Decided to add these too

IRO Heavy Duty U-Bolt Plates $40

IF you are going to spend that kind of money, have you thought about checking out dpgoffroad, fulltraction, IRO etc?

You could save some money by changing a few very uneccessary things for a 3" lift. Things you don't really need: bar pin eliminators, adj UCA & LCA's, shock relocators, u-bolt plates.

For the CA's, I would run the stock upper and a fixed lower. The length on the upper is no different for stock than at 3". The fixed lower will be longer to have caster set for you. If nothing else, just run adj LCA's and stock UCA's. You can set caster with just one set being adjustable.

As for break lines, order a set of lines for a 95 wrangler from rockauto. Each line will be about $11. You don't really need them for the front if you relocate the bracket down, but I suggest it for the rear.

Subscribed to this thread because I'm looking at doing a very similar lift soon.

I'm curious about the OME kits from DPG with higher lifts. I haven't seen anybody else offer these sizes. Where does he get the taller OME springs from?

I believe his bigger lifts come with longer shackles. I think the tallest OME leaf is 3"...

I honestly don't know. You can contact Dirk @ dpg and he can give you all the info you want to know. They are OME/"hybrid" kits for the taller ones. Not sure if they use spacers. I know that the OME ZJ coils are taller than the OME XJ coils, and they are direct swap in so maybe those? And I highly recommend the extra 40$ for a set of the upgraded OME shocks if anyone gets on of his kits.

Honestly, if I were to do a short arm 3" lift again I would go with aftermarket fixed lowers and adjustable uppers if I could not afford both. Much easier to adjust caster/pinion angle.

That makes sense. The descriptions didn't really make it clear if it was the same springs with each kit with spacers/shackles or what.

IIRC, someone listed out everything in his kits and thats what it was; spacers & shackles.

I did the mixed lift, OME leafs & 2" shackle in back with a 4.5" Rusty's coil in front. I contacted Dirk before I bought my leafs, thought being only 3 hours away I might get a good deal on shipping or could go pick them up and save money...neither were the case.

Thank you

And thanks everyone else for the input. I think I have a good handle on what I'm going to do. However I was going over things with the wife (mind you this build is for her DD) and she thru me a small curve-ball "Well what about long arms, can I have those?" Back to the drawing board. Though I secretly love the fact she knows what they are and it ok with the extra cost lol. Think I may just tweak my list up to around 4" and get the LA upgrade from Serious off road or the Full traction 3.5" LA kit. O well at least I hadn't bought anything yet.

Well, since you are going to spend MORE money. This comes with a built-in belly pan.

They also offer 4.5" lift for couple hundo more. But with less than 4" lift there is less you need to worry about.

I was looking at those too after I posted. We'll see where I end up, I don't want to go to crazy but it's a build it right and build it once kinda thing for me and it's going to be a slow build so I've got time. To me it's doing the best I can for the money, giving her the best combo of on and off road. I don't want to be 6 months to a year down the road and wish I did something different. Thanks again for the feedback all.

IU put OME Mediums in my 92 today, Stock shackles was looking for a 2 to 2.5 inch lift. I got over 4.5 inches! Not sure what is going on with that yet. This is more lift than I wanted. My reason for going with the OME Mediums was to fix a sagging rear end, and add a little more stiffness to tow our boat. Has any one else installed these leave springs? I am hoping they will flatten out a bit. I am waiting on brake lines, which I hope to install sunday, but the shocks that I have will not fit on this much lift. I might take it out for a short drive with no shocks for now to see if it lowers it self a bit with a little driving on it. I have not done anything with the front end yet, as I was wanting to measure the rear before ordering parts for the front. I was just going to add spacers to the front springs. This is going to be mostly a on road, daily driver, and to tow the boat to the lake a few times a year.
