So my xj has some issues. Past 3 weeks I've had to replace spark plugs coil rail upper rad hose radiator clean out the fuel injectors with some cleaner new battery. Started off with over heating to no oil pressure misfiring and check engine light. I got it to hold oil pressure and stop overheating. It doesn't appear or sound like its misfiring anymore but it still stalls out on deceleration. I can leave it running at idle and its fine, only dies out when I take it for test spins and like I've said..it stalls on deceleration...any insight to this? Oh also found out its leaking oil or something by my gas tank? Could it be fuel injectors or something along though lines? Don't know a whole lot of mechanical stuff. This is my first project and learning as I go. Also it shoots out white exhaust.

Yes more information needed along with year, photos are very helpful of problems as well. The 00-01 year models came with heads that are known to crack, not if just when.

Leaking oil by your gas tank? Has to be gas or diff fluid. Possibly wiper fluid I guess. Nothing else back there unless its running down from someplace (shod be easy to spot).

Possibly brake fluid from the rear brakes?

Haha missed one! Should not be oil in any case, certainly not from the fuel injectors and relatively easy to locate!

Could also be blinker fluid.
