Default Manually Lock torque converter?

I tried searching for it but did not see it. Is there a way to manually lock the torque converter? I thought i could wire up a switch?

I saw a write up on here about it, but can someone tell me what is the point of manually locking the TC? What does it actually do?

I read the writeup on here about the TC lockup. Seems kinda complicated for my limited electrical knowledge. My question is how does the lockup work in low range could I luckup 3rd an keep it there till unlocking it? I have a buddy that has a manual lockup in his 03 psd an he can lock the TC up an stall it out just like a manual. I'd love to have a lockup switch like that for off road to eliminate the constant "gear searching"

Same here... I'm not used to driving an automatic so I'm still not really understanding what this mod does. Does it just keep the TC from slipping to improve mileage when you're driving down the road?

I understand the concept of the TC lockup just don't know if I'm capable of hooking it up without screwing up something electrical
