Default Major Deathwobble.

Okay, so ive replaced pretty much my whole front end because I had deathwobble about a month ago. Well it went away until just recently. Im not a fan of it and would love to know what I can do to fix it. I understand it not simple just wondering what other people input is on what it is because I dont want to keep putting it in the shop.

Is your kit the 4.5 with adjustable control arms and adj trac bar?

I havent experienced any death wobble on mine since I put my lift on and have driven the freeway multiple times at 60-75 mph

I use this so often that now I just keep it saved... maybe I should make this my sig, or at least a link to it... I think I have copied and pasted this around 6 times today on different threads and forums

honestly most people can not tell the difference between DW, tire/wheel vibes, drive line vibes and alignment related vibes

so this is my one size fits all vibe/wobble fix it check list...

raising the truck and putting bigger tires can make issues that are already there seem more serious... it also throws angles out of whack which makes things even worse

the first thing you need to do is this

1.) identify when the wobble is present

2.) identify when, if ever the wobble is gone (expamples, below 30mph, after braking)

3.) identify what action start the wobble (examples, hard turns, speeds of 45-55mph)

4.) try to swap out your tires for your full sized spare, do this one by one, chances are you will find a bad tire

5.) jack the front end up and check for anything loose (ball joints, bolts, etc)

6.) if you have not had your caster adjusted, DO IT YOUSELF AT HOME AND SAVE SOME MONEY

7.) follow this walk thru to do a front end alignment yourself...

8.) have your wheels balanced

I have a 3 inch Rough Country life running on 31s. I have just bought new wheels and wheel spacers. Ive replaced the track bar and steering stabilizer. The only two things I havent replaced is the control arms and ball joints. Its been lined up and balanced probably 3 time within the past 2 months.
