Lots of people do it, you'll only notice on tight turns

trouble finding them? advanced search, titles only, "locker", if you go selectable on both it wont change anything... i read through all of them and decided to walk away from a sweet deal on a d35 lock right...

I cant speak to the lunchbox in the front, but I run the Powertrax no-slip in the rear of mine and its awesome. Offroad its an animal, on the street its pretty quiet. You do know its there though, the change in the way the XJ hooks up compared to an open diff is awesome! Best money I ever spent.
I'm going to avoid a lunchbox in front as I do DD mine, unless your running a trail only rig I feel a selectable is the way to go as far as the front goes.

I have a detroit in the rear its great off road sucks on tight turns. It is quite noisy however. I have an OX locker in the front. I feel it is a great combo for the mild wheeling I do.

I don't mind having then front and rear.... no issues for me.

you will have to retrain your self a little in the snow, but to any decent driver its not dangerous. but since I put a rear locker in I don't need 4wd in the snow more then 1-2 a year...

The real drawback is turning in 4 low off-road... it can be tough on your arms. selectable would be nice and I would recommend it but auto lockers and hydrolic assist is cheaper then one auto and one selectable. really depends on what you want, what you can put up with, and what you can afford.

I'm running Aussies front and rear and am not having any trouble. It might pop every once in a while in tight parking lots but it is not bad at all. The off road gains are worth every penny.

mine's a DD so I put a Spartan locker up front. It handles exactly the same until you lock in the front axle. My original intentions were to install an aussie in the rear but I've taken it places I never would have gone intentionaly and she just keeps pulling up and out.

this isnt always true. most people complain of the popping and banging in tight turns in 2wd

rear locker will make it a little easier on the front

Thanks I'm new to the forum, I've looked it over but haven't really figured out how everything works yet.
