I'm using gorilla automotive black nuts and they have held up fine for the past 10k or so. The finish has held up well to rotations and other work too.

Purchased the McGards too for the Ecco rims on my '00. Very happy so far. Been over a year. No pitting, rusting, etc. Even been using my impact on them with my torque stick.

Had Gorilla spline drive lock nuts for 2. A month ago I decided to try something different. Bought some used McGuards from someone on CL, they feel nice, we'll see how they last; the Gorillas lasted great and still have excellent finish on them. They're actually listed in the FS section here. Can't go wrong with either.

Same here. The "black chrome" has held up pretty well so far.

I am looking for some new lug nuts also. Are these solid metal or do they have the thin steel cap slipped over the nut underneath?

The ones I have now are the type with the thin metal over the base nut and I hate those. I have had the cap come off before on some when removing one that was over tightened.
