Any specific brand you would reccommend? I know rustys has a bent arm with a flex joint but I've been hearing rustys aren't the best. Good price though.
I personally prefer Currie Johnny Joints. Great quality and easy to rebuild if necessary.

I already have a 3" lift on my 97 xj, with 33" tires. Will any long arm conversion kit get me this kind of flex, and do i have to do anything with the drive shafts or T-Case

I have RE3.5 and 33-12.50/15 tell me what bump stops do you use and what you did for flex?

You can get long arms to fit 3 inch lift but most off the shelf kits require 4.5 or more lift

Question on rear prothane bumps.
Was wondering how much compression there is on these, i find the info on the front coil inserts but not for the rear.
Say the advertised 3.5" bump, is that full compression or would it be more like 2.5?

Anyway, big fan. And thanks to any that can help.

Is there anything special to runnin long arms at a lower height? I understand that most 'off the shelf' kits are 4.5in and above. But I'm assuming I can't just take the long arms from a different kit and throw them on the coils I have now, right? Is there a specific setup or angle I should be looking at/for, or is it pretty universal. If it makes any difference, I'm looking to be around 3 inches with 33's... maybe eventually getting to 35's.

I dont know about other companies but we can and have supplied our 3 link and 4 link kits with slightly shorter arms for the guys running lower COG rigs. Unless you want to push the axle forward slightly then we can leave the arms longer. I know Claytons concern with their 3 link is the UCA hitting the floor with lower lift heights. With the way we designed our kit we dont have those issues.

I think the concern with radius arm kits is more then just the amount it will push the axle forward at a lower lift height but also the adjustability on the UCAs to be able to adjust the caster negative enough. From what I have seen the short UCAs only adjust on one end and not much.

Lead foot is right.
Long arms are alright, I think a well built midarm radius arm is better.
Best is a 3 link with a panhard.

3 link with longer arms can still be a pain to package on an XJ, but that is were mine is going post axle swap. 4.5" of lift for 37's is the plan. I will likely run into the same issue I had with my Ranger and 1 ton's however...stupid oil pan clearance.
