Awesome job on the thread-convinced me to go low cog rather than a big lift

I was wondering if you had a thread and or any pics of this? Just for reference-soo i know how high to cut? "In the rear I have actually never done any trimming. I simply remove the stock fender flare, and cut 4 slits in each side. 2 at each corner of the wheel opening, and fold the sheet metal in.

Thanks

This whole thread has really helped me make up my mind. Still unsure about a couple of things but I suppose in due time, I'll have made a decision. Great thread, tons of good info.

question- maybe i missed something - i understand long arms, longer shocks, longer break lines, cut fenders, sway bar disconects etc. - but if i run a 3" coil with all proper items that wont limit down travel - wont my coils pop out or limit down travel? how do you get lots of down travel or droop with such a short coil?

lol I will be testing this soon... hopefully. but with 31's I could get the wheel below the rocker (brake lines and shocks stopped me) and the coil still had a few inches. so now I have better arms longer brake lines just need to measure shocks once she's rolling again and I'll see how far u can push it...

thanks- but i was really asking OP.

it just seems like a 3" coil could not stretch enough -

Your coils have a retainer on the bottom to keep them attached to the axle. Even tho they might seperate from the body, they won't fall out. If you flex far enough to pop a coil out, you won't be going fast enough to hurt anything.
