He is referencing the steering components that need to be replaced to get a proper alignment. Lower control arms (lca's), trac bar, sway bar links, etc. As you know, as the height goes up, the symmetry and geometry of these components gets thrown off.

Im far from an expert but you'd probaly want to get adjustable lower arms, jks discos (sway bar end link quick disconnects. disconnect them offroad to allow greater flex of the suspension), adjustable trac bar, and probaly new upper arms from what I hear.

Heres another helpful nugget that illustrates the components: http://www.google.com/imgres?um=1&hl...r:14,s:0,i:128

Yup. Rough country kits are very complete in the parts they come with. They have everything you need except steering and SYE/driveshaft. The only bad thing I can say about mine is the rest leaf packs are short, giving a less than desirable shackle angle.

Here's the kit im thinkin about IRO 5.5''

Kit will Include
- JKS Quick Discs
- HD SYE
- Double cardan Driveshaft (do I need this upgrade?)
- Adjustable LA's
- Stainless Brake Lines

$2000 For all that.

From what I'm gathering I'm also gonna source a Chrysler 8.25 Axel. Do I need rear only or should I do both? Also I want opinions on 32'' VS 33'' Tires and what gears to run. I plan on doin all the work myself. What I dont know I know ppl who do lol. I'm also reading mixed things on lockers. Any suggestions for a DD?

If you don't mind spending the money that would be a good kit you'll need to get a trac bar but that has quite a bit of stuff. You don't necessarily nees the upgraded driveshadt but you might as well get it because you'll need a new one amyways for use with the sye. I didnt look what shocks came with it but depending, you might want to buy your own aftermarket shocks (higher end).

Just the rear axle. Every 4wd XJ came with a front Dana 30 I belive. Get a 33" tire gear to 4.10. And locker wise, selectables are best. I plan on getting the Yukon Zip locker soon for my front axle. Price wise, an Aussie is your best bet.

Also, I got my RC kit for around $1300. That's $700 you could be spending on other parts.

but I agree, might as well search around and get the best buck. Do you know how much offroading you plan on doing? that could dictate how intense of a kit youd want to get.

I didnt see it say the track bar was adjustable. But it does come with one. As for how much wheelin I'll do id say itll be moderate.

\As for the RC kit I have been reading that ppl say to steer clear. OPlder RC kits were good but theyre product isn't what it used to be. Id rather spend more now n not have to do it again later.
