Default lookin for brush guard - deer wacker

anyone have good advice? for cop like push-bar w/ brush guard .. deer wacker, bull bar, cow catcher

installs on stock body / frame

1993 XJ .. standard plastic front end besides bumper

want something strong .. not pretty .. light attachment would be cool

ebay stuff is $350 +

from what Ive seen .. pretty basic install for XJ

thought I would check here before dumpin $s

I saw some on country trucks today w/ welded in steel - mesh like inserts .. looks to be a good bird / big rock catcher

In my travels I see lots of: deer, elk, bighorn sheep, cows, reckless geese everywhere in my hood

I just dumped tons of money in this XJ .. don't need 1 animal totaling me ... thanks in advance

Look at the cherokee chat section. This is the 3rd thread about this so far this week. Almost everyone will recommend an offroad bumper.

10-4 thanks .. sorry, didn't search

4 wheel parts guy recommended it too .. since shipping would put a cheaper brush guard in same $$s as a full bumper that they have in stock

Nates 4x4 out of michigan. Free shipping. That is the bumper I got. Ties into the frame in multiple places. Including through the steering box. I had to replace the steering box shortly after installing this bumper. That was about 8 months ago. Since then no complaints and I love it. Looks mean and tough. http://www.nates4x4.com/ProductDetai...roductCode=XJF

that bumper looks pretty beef, but trust me those headlight guards/brush whackers won't take a good hard hit very well. Ask me how I know...
