Lockers and gears question

Complicated no. Specialized yes. With over 2 grand in parts on the line id pay 1000 for install. Cheap insurance. But I went with Yukon gears, carriers, and axels. If you do decide to do it be sure to heat cycle your gears for proper break in and change the gear oil after the first 500 miles.

You are correct but I regeared with Detroit TruTracs and Yukon gears and chromoly axels as well as did the 29 spline upgrade on my Cry 8.25 and did all new bearings and u joints.

I couldn't be happier I don't do really heavy off mudding. Mostly snow and fire roads for hunting. The nice thing about the TruTract is it's helical gear and springs so no clutches to wear out and no special adatives to the gear oil.
