Default Gears, gears and more gears!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey , I was just wondering if a 410 gear set would fit in stock jeep howsings (d-35, d-30) and if its possible. Sorry if this has already been posted ! ima newb on this site . any suggestions would be awesome . thanks

Yes, you can run 4.10 gears.

well thats good to here! also im running 33/12.5's and i got no more bottom end should i run 410's or goo bigger like 456's ???????

i dont really care about highway speeds , kinda leening towards a slow by4. but resonable around town .

456's also fit in i take it , i have chromoly shafts no locker basicly stock i can just bolt 456's right in ????????????????????

You'll need the correct carrier for the gear ratio you want to run.

how do i know wich is the correct carrier ? bolt holes ? diameter? enlighten me plz

Different gear ratios require a different carrier due to the differences in ring gear thickness.

For the D30 the stock carrier case break is 3.54 and down and 3.73 and up. So if you are running stock gears and want to run 4.10 or 4.56 you are going to replace the carrier to a 3.73 and up. Sorry I dont know about the D35.

The way to figure what rpms you will run with the different gear ratios is:

MPH x gear ratio x 336 / tire diameter x top gear ratio = RPM

example

70 x 4.88 x 336 / 33 x .75 = 2609

what carriers can i use in the rear ? and how do i know i got a 373 carrier?
