Locker help
Any help would be appriciated. Came across this deal and wondered if anyone has the same setup. I got an 01 xj 4.5" on 33s with open dana 30 front and open 8.25 rear. It's my daily driver but use it on the weekend trails and need more traction. Found this lock right locker for $210 and I'm wondering if it'll be worth it to lock the front and keep the rear open, and also how much it'll effect it's drivability on the road. Is the traction in the front worth it? Thanks for any help

You'll only notice it in tight turns like parking lots or while making U turns. I run lunchbox lockers front and rear and I don't have any complaints.

I run Detroit Lockers D30HP/Chy8.25 never know the front is there unless its in 4WD. Yes a front locker is nice to have but you might consider a lunchbox instead.
When I'm off road most of the time I only use 2WD with my rear locker a real world of difference over an open differential being really locked. Then when it gets tougher going go to 4WD with all locked.
Gears and lockers were one of the best upgrades made to my XJ as far as off and on road use goes.
