Locker Help
They break to easily, Richmond gear won't back their product, and they don't ratchet open as smooth as Aussies.
The engineers who originally designed the lockright for for Richmond Gear left that company a long time ago and made there own company that makes Aussie Lockers. I'm not sure if that was before, after, or during the time Richmond sold out to foreign manufacturers. But I do know there was a falling out over proposed design improvements that the company board shot down. The no-spin is just a lock-right that fits into a trac lock case. Richmond gear has gone down hill as company from what they were. Many people in the racing world refuse to run their R&P gears because they are noisy and have bad luck getting them to warranty there products.
But, if you haven't had a problem then good for you. You are not alone and even though complaints are common, some people love them.
I really don't understand.
In 4wd on the trail no matter the condition my xj turns great with the front auto locker. Both wheels are engaged yet it turns easy. I have heard other people say its hard to turn but this is not my experience at all.
I am currently running agressive 33 10.50's. So it can't be the tire. Maybe their steering sucks?
