I've read that guys have good luck with the rebuilds from O'reilly's. I personally found a guy parting out a RUNNING XJ on Craiglist. It was a bone stock 2000, he bought it for the engine (LOL) so getting to the box was super simple, he let me use his tools to pull it and a $20 bill made me a buyer. Is this the best option? not sure...but I'll try it before spending the time on a reman.

Alright guys, I got my Delphi steering box in last week. I havent put that many miles on it yet but it does feel better then before. The Jeep actually drives straight now and doesnt randomly pull left or right. I also had a slight steering wheel wobble around 55 mph which is now gone. I do feel that there is a little bit of play in the box but nothing too crazy. I will report back in a few months to see if anything has changed.

How is the steering box holding up for you? If it held up this long, this may be the option I go with.

I sold the jeep about 2 years ago. I put a good 20k miles on that box with a lot of off road adventures. I still am in contact with the new owner and he has not done anything to the jeep besides putting on new wheels and tires. So I would say it's holding up just fine!
