Default ZJ steering box in a XJ?

I have been doing some reading about the Durango box upgrade, but was wondering if anyone has used a 92-98 Grand Cherokee box instead. From the searching I have done it seems as though they are direct fits for the XJs with tighter steering. (14:1 vs 12.7:1).

Has anyone done this?

The box is the same as an xj box. No upgrade there.

The Durango box is physically bigger, producing more power to turn the wheels

Would it really need to be more powerful with the different ratio?
Just asking.

The Durango box isn't stronger. It's beefier but not stronger.
