Need ideas for a better roof rack, something i could easily and securely strap a ladder to and maybe even a basket. Show 'em!

I've got a surco rack, it's a aluminum rack so it's not as heavy as steel and won't rust. I've got a spare in mine that takes up alot of room so if you need the more space I'd be best to put the spare somewhere else and the lights can get in the way of really long stuff so you may chose to skip em. My mom has one on her grand and we've way overloaded it before without complaint. The crossrails underneath are strong and you can remove the rack and leave crossbars on for different uses or to reduce wind drag when tack not needed.

I got a cheap rage rack because well money is kinda tight right now. Haha. I painted it a gloss black because it is steel and well steel rusts pretty easily. I have had it for about two months now and I'm very happy with it, especially for the price.

I like those d-rings on the front, reminds me of those military blazers and pickups.

I made my own out of EMT. Bought gutter mounts off ebay for $20, and then found some nice thick C-channel steel at work for free. Total cost into it was around 90-100. Holds my spare 31", tool box, jerry can, high lift, shovel and me and two friends haha
