I ordered some 194 led bulbs and when I attempted to install them they were the wrong ones. The 194 bulbs were double the size of the stock ones in my cluster. I searched on here and that was the size I found to get unless I'm missing something. I have a 99 xj. Any help or info on what I did wrong?

194s are for pre 97 clusters. You want five size 74 for the 97+ clusters.

 

Why does it say 194 in the manual though? Little odd

 

I don't know. Which manual? Owner manual, factory service manual, Haynes, Chilton?

You definitely want to put time into research before you do LEDs in your Jeep.

 

No problem. I suck at electrical stuff too. I am learning as I go and using CF. Swapping in LEDs is probably the easiest electrical mod that I know of.
