leafspring sliders vs. the shackle.
Im in the SAME boat, just at 3.5 of lift.
Im second guessing this Rubicon choice (re 3.5 full/bilstiens) vs OME maybe the way I should have gone.
On paved roads it feels like my civic in high school on cut springs.

about the ironmanandy's shackles, if I still had shackles I would have his. But they just adjust the shackle length, not the angle. Which is why he wants the relocation brackets or the sliders. I just got my sliders put on last weekend. Haven't wheeled or flexed them yet sadly... But on road they ride much much nicer than my stock 90 degree shackle did.
I have two problems with them: My exhaust is stock and was totally in the way, cutting that tomorrow morning so no longer a problem. But if you get the sliders just move it before you grind and cut and grind and cut... For now its blowing on the bushing and banging on start up and right turns.
Second, I did a bastard pack in the rear, and the second leaf is just squared off and hits the bottom of the bracket. Same thing tomorrow, getting cut and ground, no more problems.
Overall, I was expecting a miracle but I just got less bumpy ride lol. Also there are two crush sleeves that go on either side of the sleeve inside the leaf bushing, centering the leaf in the slider.

So after reading this thread and a few others, are the leaf sliders a good option? I have a 6.5'' leaf pack for my 6.5 lift and I'm using stock shackles. The leafs really haven't been broken in (less than 2k miles), but as for now, it's extremely bumpy on the trails. I thought about the relocation, but I don't want to add an additional 1.5''s. Are these sliders worth the money? Would they help me out?
Netting 6.5 inches of lift only using 6.5 inch lift springs is going to definitely give you a horrible ride. The stock shackles dont really have enough length to let the leaf pack do it's intended work. Not only that but if I had to guess you probably have a horrible shack angle as well.
Instead I would recommend a 4.5" leaf pack, 1-1.5" shackle, and some shackle relocation brackets. You can PM me if you have any further questions regarding this as well.

Does the slider add any heighth to the springs? I have a 4.5" lift and am using stock shackles, but I recently purchssed jks acos for the front and want to bump up to 5.5" so will the slider add an inch or should I just go with longer shackles or revolvers? Also I have the jcr gas skid that uses the nut strip, will the slider work with that?

I cant speak for the shackle sliders, but our STANDARD Shackle Relocation Kits will net anywhere from .75" to 1.5" of lift depending on shackle angle before and after adjustment.

I really dig my sliders, they do what they say they do for sure!
My rear shackle housing on the drivers side started coming apart from the frame because the stock shackle would swing back and hit the frame as the spring flattened when coming off obstacles. I chose these sliders to fix the problem permanently instead of trying to repair the shackle housing and had them bolted and welded in.
I read all these posts before having them installed and noticed there weren't any vids of how they really perform so I got out the GoPro...
Ill be taking some more footage but here is this for now.

What sorcery is this?!
They seem to be really quiet, which tells me there's something slippery along the sliding surfaces. What is it?
It would seem to me that there are certain contact points where your leaves are going to spend most of their time, is there (can there be) any kind of wearing away of the portions that are most often slid on/through? I'm guessing this would depend largely on the material the slidey parts are made of, but if they were super hard, I'd expect a lot more noise.
I'm confuzzled. Also, kind of torqued off, since I literally JUST ordered my shackle relocation brackets and had no idea that these things even existed.

They are a UHMW/Delrin block that slides along the tracks. He sells more if you feel that you have worn yours to the point that they no longer function as intended.
I run them on my RE 3.5 (but more like 6") superflex it.
