Default JKS shackle doubt

Hey guys,

Just had some general maintenance done on the vehicle and told the guys to put on some JKS shackles during the tune up. Seems like the shackles aren't in the proper position (reversed?) or I could be wrong. Any ideas or is this fihe? Thanks.

I don't like the cut in the sideplates.....looks like a failure point.

Definitely installed backwards. I'd have doubts about the quality of the tune-up. Lol! Meh, **** happens. Even the best techs err sometimes; just sucks when it's on your stuff...

IDK that I would be concerned w/ the "cuts" unless this is a hardcore wheeling rig. Those shackles are far beefier than the spindly stockers.

Part of the concern, is if you look at the side of the shackle farthest away in the pic, it looks like a weld seam from the cut across the side of the shackle, and if it is, then that cut leading into a weld seam is not good, beefy or not.

I see what it is you're referring to. I believe that's just the mark that's left from bending it there during manufacturing.
