Default JK shock swap

I hope I'm not beating a dead horse by asking this question.. very new to the forum and jeeps as a whole, I built mild prerunners.. all fords haha

ive done A LOT of research on here because I'm hoping to be piecing a lift together soon.. RE 3.5 lift coils, fixed lcas, quick discos, and a rear stainless steel brake line.. needing shocks, bumpstops, building a bastard pack next weekend, and an adj. trac bar in the near future before I install it all.. I found some red JK shocks with 20k on em for $40 total, what will I have to do to make them work? picking up the s10 blazer springs this weekend.. am I missing anything? sorry if I rambled

You will definantly need some bar pin aleliminators to make them long enough.. Generally after 3 inches of lift they won't have much travel (or at least that's what people have told me). And also for the lift, you will prob need a tcase drop or sye and cv driveshaft to fix your potential vibes.

if you are going to run JK rubicon shocks make sure you run bar pin eliminators... this will basically make the shock act like it is a 1/2-1" longer.... and honestly iirc RE 3.5" coils tend to give 4.5" lift... in which case you really DO NOT want these shocks

Oh and if you do run those shocks, you will need to press out the bar pins from your old shocks and put them in the new ones.

okay, I guess I had just heard a rumor that stock JK shocks from a junkyard can be used for up to 4 inches of lift.. I'll just order some Rustys shocks then, still pretty cheap and they'll be new. thanks a lot
