How about an actual part# vs 1 picture of 1 side of the yoke in question? If your looking for a hack-n-tap yoke you should prolly look for one of the many complete kits out there for sale

sorry, my english is not that good... i would like an opinion about this sy (it's not a part of SYE), it's the sy i would combine with a double cardan. recently it has become very expensive to have things shipped from the USA, so I ask you first.

So, you're looking for a replacement yoke for your transfer case?

What's your year, model, and which transfer case do you have?

We need more information to help you.

It's always been expensive for us to ship from America (although, much as it pains me to say so, RockAuto generally aren't too bad) & Germany's not much better. Try Poland - or Latvia.

I have never seen it. You don't have a SYE installed?

I would do a SYE kit at that lift height. You can get a hack-n-tap kit, or a replacement shaft kit. I prefer the shaft replacement style, personally, but it is more expensive, and either kit will achieve the desired result.

If you go with the replacement shaft, it's a perfect opportunity to replace the chain in the TC at the same time. The shaft kit is a little more involved, but it's not difficult, and well documented online.

After your SYE is installed, you can then take a front driveshaft and use it in the rear. So you have the added bonus of shared parts, and if you lose a u-joint in the rear, or break/bend your rear DS on the trail, you can just remove your front and put it in the rear to get you home.

Don't export TC's have the wider chain that's no longer available?

Let's get Steve's transfer case number then.

I've never heard of a bigger chain on exports.

Maybe there's a part number or suffix to the 242. Something that designates a bigger chain?

I've personally never seen this but in theory, it could work. Install a "fixed yoke" that's a slip joint on one side so you don't have to modify the transfer case output shaft, then pair that with a double cardan driveshaft.

I bet it would still have vibrations though - I'd save up for a proper fixed yoke conversion - even if was a hack-and-tap.

Unless you just want to keep the NP242 (which I totally get why you would want to), you might be better off finding and swapping in a NP231 - those are way cheaper to modify.
