The load on your circuit doesn't dictate what size fuse to run, the gauge of wire does! Then the size fuse and wire you use dictates how big of a load you can put on that harness (bulb amperage draw). He's sending out these harnesses and allowing customers to put whatever size fuse they want to in it. That's just setting up for failure.

Actually, Jon Kelley of Kelley's Works In Progress hasn't ever gotten around to supplying the headlamp harnesses. As for the comment on Jon knowing jack about electrical, I find that particularly harsh, especially coming from a vendor.

Yea, might have sounded a little harshly worded. I apologize. I was just a little shocked when I read he was planning to supply the harness without a fuse rating for the actual harness. Its a good way to burn your Jeep down. It worries me a little is all.

i just made mine. never wired anything before except offroad lights on a simple switch.

followed this and it works perfect first try. and i learned a good deal doing it. wouldnt buy one with how simple it was to make. took maybe 2 hours with a couple trips for more connectors.

For the OP, I got the sealed beam Silverstar headlights and the Putco harness. It was all easy to install, and both of these items made a big difference. ( Ive had the Silverstars in longer than the harness, so I noticed an improvement at each step). I am very happy with the light output compared to stock, and I would consider this set-up to be good value.
