Inner fenders, who keeps them

If fender liners are removed, something should go in its place. Otherwise water and debris enter inner fender panel and door hinges. Pool noodle is an option

I've trimmed a lot as well. I was talking about keeping water/debris out of the engine bay/cab. Foam noodle solution in particular.
Been wheeling mine pretty hard without liner or any thing in the well. I do notice that mud builds up in the spot where front doors meet the quarter panel. There's a little pocket there that catches a good bit of gunk, but its very easy to clean out even though I never do. Don't want it rusting from wet crap getting stuck in places.

I used foam pipe insulation which works the same as the pool noodles. Just cut to fit and stuff back in the gap at the door. I don't have door speakers (removed by PO) and I can say that the cold air during the winter will roll in the speaker holes without the insulation. I found that out the hard way

I did a little trimming of the front inner fender liners after trimming the fenders up to the mini flares. They do a good job deflecting water, mud and general debris.

I saw a video where a guy cut and folded the front fenders to the little lip and he trimmed the liner and folded the cut fender pieces into it to hold it up... I think that makes sense. It does in my head... Anyway that's what I plan to do if I ever cut the fenders.

That is one way of doing it, but I don't think the easiest way. You can just cut away the front fenders up to the mini flares. The lower rear area was cut and folded. The fender liners are held in place by push pins, new push pins can be added where there are existing holes or make new ones. This is a simple modification, maybe an hour or two of fun.
