Question Ignition wiring???

Ok well I have a 93 Jeep Cherokee that I wheel and was wheeling last fall when I found a water hole and the truck died. Pulled it out and I could get it to turn over and fire when it wanted too, so I pulled it into the garage and after I got it into the garage I had nothing but interior power at the key. I tried jumping the neutral safety switch and still had nothing so started thinking it was my ignition switch now I have tore the ignition switch out and would just like to hot wire it to see if I can get it to turn over or even get anything at all. I have ran a jumper wire from the batt to the starter and can get it to turn over like that, but would like to figure out how to use the wires that connect to the ignition switch itself. Can anyone please help me with this and tell me what wire do what that go to the ignition switch. By the way my ignition switch is towards the bottom of the steering column near the brake pedal. By the way there use to be an electric start on this truck that I have removed. PLEASE HELP!!!

I went and looked at the wires that I have that come from the ignition switch and I have 8 wires and the colors are as followed. I have two solid Red wires that are hot at all time, a Blue wire that seems to run the door chime, and the rest I have no idea what they do, and those are Yellow, Orange, Purple, Black with a White stripe, and a Purple with a Yellow stripe.
