Default HP D30 rebuild questions

Not sure if this should be in OEM. If so can a mod please move it?

Anyways I just got my sticky hands on an HP D30 with 4:11 gears in it.
I'm going to rebuild the ends anyways but it's going on a 2000 XJ.
In late 99 they went to a different hub bearing and a cast rotor.
My question is are the knuckles the same as any other year?
Meaning if I really want to I can put the 2000 hub and brake stuff on it or should I keep the earlier 98 down hub and brake stuff?
Yes I'd love to do the WJ upgrade but I want to put both my 4:11 axles on at the same time and hunting down WJ parts just isn't an option right now.

Oh man... I was in the same boat about a month ago. I'm rebuilding a HP D30 I picked up on craigs list & had the exact same questions... Here is what I did.......

Went with a 98 hub assy. and the cast rotors. The thing you'll find out the most is that you want to keep the correct rotors with the correct hub assy. the mounting locations etc are all the same for your years.... Early Early XJ's had a different bolting circle (for lack of other terms). I haven't installed my new timken hubs yet but all seems to look good. I got mine from partsgeeks.com...

Hmmm why the e $11 difference on the earlier stuff? You'd think the newer stuff would be more expensive.
These are Timken hub bearing part #'s right?

Yep, Timkens. Don't know the difference between new or old. I honestly don't know the difference between all the later models either.

Well it looks like I may be doing it different.
Not sure what year this axle is but I know it ain't a 99.
It may have been going into a 99 but it sure isn't a 99.

Axle Ujoints look too small. Sway bar bracket looks like it's a cast piece and not a stamped piece like the others I've seen.
And even my 90 Limited had a rubber plug for the front cover, not a bung.

However the gears look to be in excellent shape. no sharp edges no wear marks and no grooves.

I don't know if I should just put new ball joints and bushings in this and then swap over my 2000 axles and knuckles or just swap the ring, carrier and pinion over to a 99 axle I do have. I'll still put new ball joints on it and swap my 2000 axles and knuckles. Any opinions?

Well according to that spicer PDF
My axle was made in 1965 which I think was impossible. Or Feb 2013 ummm don't think so.
Here is the picture.

I'm even more confused now

EDIT: Found it using their bill of material number, but how you get that date numbers is beyond me.
According to the BoM 610183 it is a Jeep 30/181 Front 1985-87 Non-Disconnect Cardon Live spindle wheel end.
