How to install a soundbar in a 1994 Cherokee SE?
I have a 94 Cherokee SE that has a mounting space in the rear hatch for 5 1/4" speakers, but I'd like to put in a pair of nice 6x9's that I have and they won't fit in the rear hatch, so I need to do a little customizing and I need some help. I know that some of the Cherokee's, including the XJ have a soundbar mounted to the headliner inside the hatch, but mine does not. Am I able to find a soundbar from another Cherokee and install it in mine, even though it doesn't come stock? If I can do this, can someone give me some tips on the procedure for doing this and if there might be a specific soundbar from a specific year/model that I will need? Thanks!
Awesome, thank you! I took out all the trim, looking for the speaker wires and located them behind the rear driver's side quarter panel, so I was hoping I wouldn't have to run those wires into the hatch, because I wasn't syre if there would be an easy way to do that. Simply running them up the pillar, above the headliner and down into the sound bar should be a lot easier, so I'll go shopping for a sound bar! Thanks again.
So, would you happen to know where I can find one of these sound bars online? I am going to see if I luck into one at a wrecking yard, but I may have to buy one and my online search yielded nothing really.

They are a little big and fragile to ship really. Best bet would be a junkyard. If the yard has Cherokees there is a high chance of one having a soundbar. Otherwise part outs on here...ebay...etc.
