2010 JGC Laredo
New to the Jeep world!
I just purchased a 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo that doesn't have a toe package. I've been looking online for different options but really don't have a clue what the best way to go is.
I know I want to be able to remove the ball when not in use and also I'd like to install myself.
I'm hoping you guys can give me some pointers so I can get a decent hitch, good price and easy installation.

Welcome to CF!
Try jeep4x4center.com for a class 3 receiver hitch, lighting package, and trans cooler. They're not the cheapest, but definitely good quality. I just had one put on at U-Haul for $197 tax included, but I didn't buy the lighting package.

No luck :(
I put in the year, make and model (defaults to GrandCherokeeWK) and only a class 4 or 2 available. My bumper doesn't have the cut out so I'm hoping to come from underneath and up to avoid and cutting etc. Also, the two options didn't come with the lighting package and trans cooler.
Any other places that might carry that package you recommended?

I believe you can get the lighting module from Mopar, but while I was waiting at U-Haul for my hitch to be installed, I looked around at their shelves. They have 2 different trans cooler sizes and vehicle specific lighting modules. I know for sure they could have put one on my WJ, I just opted out for $$ reasons. Like I said, I don't plan on towing. Yet!
The factory tow package jeeps have 3.73 gearing and the standard gearing is 3.55. Just that little bit of difference means a lot as far as fuel mileage and stress on the trans. Chrysler recommends keeping the O/D locked out when towing anyway.

Ok, first post so please take it easy on me! My wife's 2012 grand Cherokee with a Hemi has selec trac on it. Well, the other day it starts flashing for no reason on selections such as sport, snow, etc. took to dealer to hook up and nothing is showing. They said could be bad switch so instead of spending $600 for labor and switch I got a tested one from junk yard and put in. It is still flashing??? Anyone heard of or seen this? Am I missing something? Frustrated! Thanks for any help!

BTW, these two posts have nothing to do with the 2010 WK trailer hitch originally posted. Please start your own posts instead of jacking someone else's thread. Thank you.
Magen66, The Mopar hitch kit comes with a template for cutting the rear bumper and a bezel that fits into it. A thru-bumper hitch puts the ball at a good height for towing most trailers, eliminating the need for a riser. There is plenty of room on the bezel for mounting a lighting jack to keep it looking clean.
