I have seen the same vents on e-bay once. It was quite a while ago but you might do a search. I'll do one and if I find them I'll link it to you.
Yeah I purchased a set from a guy on eBay recently that looked identical but when I received the product it was quite small. I did a quick search and found that Gary’s were a nice 10x16” and the eBay ones were 7”x5 or something like that. Not nearly as big. What a bummer. If anyone wants to sell there’s or even trade for some LeBaron vents let me know. Thank you for the help!
I made a hood louver that would open when the under hood temps would go above 140 F and close when cooler. Keeping the stuff under the hood dry. Ran for a year with just one and just added the other. Looks cool and works great to keep the nastys out of the engine bay.

Hey Ralph. No not yet but I can. I'm new to the forum so forgive my ignorance. I make aluminum louvers for HVAC like wall vents. I just made small ones and added the thermal operator that pushes the louver open when hot. I added a small heating element to it also to open at will with a switch. Takes a minute to respond, it works like a coolant thermostat slow opening but strong.

You should do a detailed write up. Thinking some people out there might want to follow your lead.
The part that really intrigued me is the temperature control you set up.
I stole another guys idea and went a more traditional route.

This one guy on the forum did it in his build. Gave enough details for me to give them to my body guy to do it.
It just so happened that I was having surface rust issues on the hood and roof dealt with and figured this would be the time to do it.
I was not having any heat soak or overheating issues in the '00. I just liked the look.
Just one of the many things I see on the forum and think to myself "I want that". LOL.
Hey Nuge, how about a pic of the underside? I'm interested in how much cutout you did. It's all about airflow.
I will measure and take a few pics of the underside for you this weekend. I’d estimate the openings at 6” x 7”. They let a lot of heat out, you can see it just flow out of there while driving AND when it’s parked after some trail crawling.

Well that is about where they are on it.
But on the Orvis they are just ghetto stick ons.
These are functional and in the same approximate position as the '98 5.9 Grand Cherokee they are off of.
There have been a couple threads over the years about position of hood vents.
Some say more forward, some say more back, some say it does not matter, etc.
You could get a headache trying to sort it out.

He has not been around for awhile but his attention to detail in the build is unbelievable.
I measured my openings, they are 6 1/2” x 6”. Could easily open them up an inch more on both dimensions. Plenty of opening IMO.
A few pics. The openings aren’t very pretty, but they get the job done. I threw the bolts on the front of them just as insurance against them flying off on the road.
I saw a write up yesterday while searching where the dude installed a drip pan under the vents with a drain port and tube to let the water drain from the pan and away from the motor, connectors, etc... Is a drip pan really necessary? Or was the OP just wanting to do it to be original and all that. I mean, people drive their jeep through high water all the time and I'm sure plenty of dirty water gets sloshed around in there. Does rain water just dripping down in cause that much of an issue with the engine bays?
And why not face vents with the opening forward? That would REALLY force some air into the bay, but then you're looking at rain shooting in and DEFINITE water intrusion if you don't have a snorkel and drive thru high enough water. I've never heard of water in the engine bay causing problems on any vehicle UNLESS you have bad connectors already, or your DIRECTLY pressure wash electrical connectors...
Heck, water in the bay may lead to finding out you DO have bad connectors that need to be replaced.... Hahahahaha.
