Very curious to see how this works. Would facing them out so that air flows into the vent get cooler air into the engine bay? I had never thought of the hot air rising point...if possible it would be neat to show a temperature before and after test!

If you face them backwards it would be better. Air will flow through the radiator like it's supposed to and will go out through the scoop. Facing them forward would theoretically, cause the air coming in through the radiator to work harder because it now has to battle the flow coming in through the scoop as well.

Can't wait to see em finished, if you still have the heat issues after this try wiring the your fan to a switch, worked for me in both my xjs

Tomorrow my friend... I did lay them out on another XJ I have right now just to see how they will look. And it should be AWESOME. My XJ is at the shop right now waiting for the CPS swap so definitely no install til tomorrow afternoon at the earliest! Tease tease...

No, not going to mod the intake right now. These are strictly to exhaust heat.
