lol, you did the pipe calcs wrong (i can understand, I did it wrong once there real quick too)
you did pi*d^2 (pi * 2 * 2 = 12.566 sq in)
you should have done pi * r^2 (pi * 1* 1 = 3.141 sq in)
and 3" = 7.069 sq in
so the 2" tube has ~ 54% less internal area than the stock inlet

mine is 2", and no probs here. You are only gonna need max air flow at WOT @ max tq rpm, which you don't need all the time.
