Helped me! I still have the same optima and my lights never dimmed or anything like that... I no longer have the subs and stuff (sold them awhile back). I have gone through at least 2 alts a year though with and without the speakers... (I like the mud)

I've been in car audio for many years, and my advice is to get a second battery instead of a cap because a GOOD cap will cost as much as a battery and won't hold as much charge and stuff. A lot of the caps out there are glorified voltage meters. If you get a battery and are putting it inside your cab make sure it is sealed.

A cap is a band aid for a lacking charging system.

No grinding needed and for a renix. the Writeup section can be a good one...
