Default Regearing

So im thinking about re-gearing when i get my IRO 5.5inch long arm kit and i want 32inch tires. i have a 95' Chrysler 8.25 27 spline axle. I tried looking up new gears for it but couldn't find anything. I just need some ideas. Anything will help. Also thinking about locking the rear.

Look at sites like Randy's ring and pinion and completeoffroad or Seriousoffroad on here. They all have gear sets as well as package deals. BTW you axle spline count won't matter for the gears, an 8.25 is an 8.25.

The spline count is for the axle shafts and really only comes into play if you're putting in a locker or swapping to stronger shafts.

sounds like you havent really looked into it yet. but cost of regear is like $1500 (including install and locker)
just incase you didnt know.

IRO 5.5 = $1400.00
tires = $800.00-$1100.00 (new)
regear = $1500.00

not sure what your budget is but that puts you at around $4000.00

so if you're gonna regear I'd go for 4.56's
and I like 4wp because they dont charge shipping if you pick up in-store. dont ask them for any advice or customer service though. lol

spool is less expensive. should be $400 for gears, $200 for installs, $90 for front carrier, bout $300 for lunchbox (I wouldnt lunchbox my own rear personally). then about $200 to gear each axle (for the average guy).

I'm also getting my installs done for cheaper. it can be done. I was just offering average going rates. but where did you get gears and installs for only $500!??

EXCELLENT company to deal with. All the gears I've bought for my rigs and cars have come from them and they are great to deal with. Even when I was running my turdy five the swapped broken shafts that I got from them no questions asked several times and even offered to give me my money back. Great prices and they have package deals for front and rear too.
