Well the Spartan is not boxed in a Yukon box. It is marketed under the USA Standard name/box. And that is who the gears are by. I found about 2 years ago that the USA Standard gears were easier to install (better manufacturing tolerances) then any other boxed name except Yukon, and equal to motive. ALL the rest were a crap shoot. And anyone that tells you otherwise is just trying to sell you something.

I am a mechanical designer, and have been for 15 yrs and have a very nice and steady job. I started doing gears about 12 years ago. Back then I typically only used Dana, motive or precission. But with all the buying and selling and moving of who each company has manufacture thier gears (Not one big name "gear company" makes thier own gears), it was really a crap shoot there for a while.

So I was doing so many gear setups for friends and family and thier friends and family, and when ordering parts it was a very bad experience typically. all these companies 4-5 years ago, that sold gears would tell you anythign they could to sell something. Stuff like... Our gears are the best, or there in stock, or those over there suck. All of which typically were lies. They just wanted to sell something.

You will find I dont have to sell you Anything to continue living my comfortable life with my loving family. I started this to make only a Very small profit and because I Love Jeeps and Drivetrain. SO I will not try to sell you something. I will try to give you what I feel is a smoking deal and Not lie to you about in stock, or you will have it in a few days, and you get it in a few weeks, etc...

Ok long story short... I Love USA Standard Gears. I HAve had ONE set that we did not like out of the last 2 years, and about 300 installs with them, and about 500 sold. We tried the N brand and in the first 5 months we had EVERY set of D30 4.88s have issues, every C8.25 set not set up good, and service was horrible.

I Promise you this. I Believe the USA Standard C8.25 gear sets are equal to or better then all the rest, even over the USA Made US Gears. And in the D30r they are equal to or better then all the rest also. No Chinese crap here. Try getting a Superior or Precission retailer to say that, if they do, they are lieing!
