Im going to be cutting the rusty rockers out of my 2dr and replacing with 2x6 3/16. Are you guys running the full length and chopping the dog leg off the front fenders or stoping before the fenders? Any pics? Thanks!

Most people end up running the full length and cutting the fender I believe. I just made mine go around (pics)

I plan on stopping mine, but I'm using 2x3x 1/8in. I don't want it to stick out and hold mud.

i plan on running a 5footer and center it.
which will involve cutting the bottom of the fender.
but i see no issues with that, ill loose one screw holding the fender on. but with the other 8 i think itll be fine.

Chopped the fender bottoms as they had rot in them as well as the rockers.
Welded at fender bottom, If I need in future to remove the fender I'd zip saw it off.My tube went right inside the interior and I left a lip to weld in the new floors.
In hindsight I'd have preferred 8" width and stuck out a little more. If you are just setting into bad rockers and don't have to reach in to floors a 6" will be great.
Your 3/16" wall is a good choice. I can lift full side no problem with jack under the rail.
Good luck.

Ok so i ended up using 2x3 instead for a flush mount. My question is what did you guys do with the edge of the factory sill? I plug welded it to the 2x3 but im wondering if i should fully weld the edge or tack it in a few spots and use an auto body seam sealer or panel bond.
