Is that a FXR projector it looks like one with a gatlin gun shroud.

As someone who ran an HID Projector Retrofitting business for 3 years, I can tell you that parts alone for this are nearly $200 so to get a finished product for that price is a steal.

Granted this is a pretty straight forward retrofit, I wouldn't even consider touching this retrofit for under $350. This a slamming deal for real lumen's being put where you need it for daily driving & not in everyone's eyes like LED lightbars or HID's in reflectors.

LED lights are great, yes. But for those who live up North were it gets cold and gets tons of snow, like me, they aren't that great. LED's produce no heat, so in the winter all the snow and ice builds up on them and blocks/scatters the light.

 

count me in. are u guys gonna make any boxes or anything to hold the ballast so they wont get wet from going on trails and wat not? i had that problem with my old ones hence why i have the originalls back in. i cant stand them.

 

Got the HIDs all hooked up. Mostly plug and play besides drilling a 1" hole behind each headlight, the projector was a little too long.

My 98 already had an upgraded harness and nice Sylvania headlights. There is definitely a difference though, the light is more crisp and evenly focused. The brights are AMAZING!

I was able to keep the retrofit pretty clean.

Cutoff looks pretty sharp! What kind of projectors are you using?
How waterproof are these (I dont care about the electronics, I will probably use cheap cheap ebay ballasts so I can replace them when they get wet). The back looks like it is kind of unsealed, but I dont mind jb-welding the **** out of it.

I am definitely 100% interested in a set!!! Hoping they will stand up to some mud/ice/water though

Was planning on making a set for myself with the morimoto mini's, but after seeing the horror stories of trying to open up glass housings I kind of lost wind on the project.

Thanks, I was honestly impressed with the light output and cut off as well, especially with how close the projector is to the 7x6 lens. I will be going with a lower temp rating in the future though.

Here is the setup you see below above:
2.5" Bi-Xenon Mini H1 Projectors.
6000k (4300 should offer the most pure white light output) 35w H1 SuperVision Bulbs. (Optional color tempand Phillips Upgrade)

Kit comes with 35w Digital ballasts and full wiring kit with relays. Literally plug in to your passenger side headlight harness, connect ground and positive for the ballasts, and you are ready to go. No splicing necessary. (you will need to remove your headlight delay module under the driver side dash or risk burning out the ballasts.)

What doesn't look sealed about it to you? I think I have a better picture, ill check. We used alot of JB Weld to nicely secure the projector, then finished off with blank silicon for a clean positive seal that looks nice.

Opening up the housings did take some time and experimenting with different approaches, temperatures, and wait times.
